Audited Financial Accounts

BVI company law provides minimum obligation to file any returns or reports. An IBC is not required to either prepare or file any financial records in the British Virgin Islands. While there is no requirement to file audited accounts with the authorities, a company is required to keep financial records, which reflect the financial position of a company. An IBC is not requited to prepare financial statements or company accounts. There is no need to hire any auditors. Only those accounts or records which are considered necessary by the company directors for their own use need to be maintained and these can be kept anywhere in the world. There is no need to file annual returns for an IBC.

The Article 98 of the new BVI Business Companies Act 2004 actually prescribes, in one general sentence, that a company shall keep records that are sufficient to show and explain the company’s transactions; and, at any time, enable the financial position of the company to be determined with reasonable accuracy.

Shareholders Agreement

Notarial Certification

Notarial Certification - this is the certification, or proving, of the due execution of a document so as to enable it to be used effectively abroad.
